Following two days of reports of empty seating in Olympic venues, new statistics have revealed that more than two million people have already watched Olympic events during the first three days of London 2012.
Empty spaces seen at some venues have caused frustration for organisers and angered fans who missed out on tickets for ‘sold out’ events.
However, figures published from the first three days of competition reveal that 2.126 million people have so far attended events, with 856,000 spectators at events on Saturday alone.
Yesterday, Olympic organisers put thousands of tickets back on sale for the Games in a bid to fill the empty seats at venues across London 2012.
