Allianz has announced it is continuing its partnership with the International Paralympic Committee, after the insurance group confirmed it will renew the deal it agreed with the IPC in 2011 to become the only international partner of the Paralympic Movement.
As well as financial backing, Allianz has run awareness campaigns for the Paralympics since 2006, when it first became a supporter.
Its local divisions are also partners of National Paralympic Committees in Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Portugal, Turkey, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia and Australia.
IPC chairman Sir Philip Craven said: ‘The Paralympic Movement is happy to have dedicated and professional supporters like Allianz. Allianz has helped the Paralympic Movement to gain more awareness.’
