The Sport Industry Group is delighted to announce that Barclays will once again be the Official VIP Partner of the Sport Industry Awards on 2nd May 2013.
As the Official VIP Partner, Barclays will host the exclusive Barclays VIP Reception at the Sport Industry Awards ceremony, which brings together key representatives, decision makers and influential figures from the entire sport industry to celebrate the outstanding commercial achievements in British sport this year.
Barclays backing of the sport industry’s flagship event is part of its long-standing commitment to sport, demonstrated through partnerships such as the Barclays Premier League, Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, and the Barclays Spaces for Sports community programme.
Matt Wotton, Head of Sport, Media and Entertainment at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, commented: ‘Our partnership with the Sport Industry Awards enables us to show our commitment to the sports world and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of the best in British sport on May 2nd.
‘Providing advice and financial services such as retail banking, credit cards, corporate and investment banking and wealth and investment management services, to sports people and industry professionals is a major part of our business. Combined with our partnerships throughout sport, this makes the Sport Industry Awards an excellent fit for Barclays.’
Nick Keller, Chairman of the Sport Industry Group, added: ‘From the teams fighting it out at the top of the Barclays Premier League to the 200 Barclays Spaces for Sports sites bringing together local communities across the country, Barclays has been a central pillar of British sport for many years. There will be few people at the Sport Industry Awards whose work in sport has not either directly or indirectly benefited from Barclays investment in this sector.’
The Sport Industry Awards 2013 will once again bring together more than 1,750 of the sport industry’s key representatives at a star-studded gathering that will celebrate the outstanding commercial achievements in sport this year across marketing, PR, sponsorship, talent management, advertising, community investment and branding.
