The BBC has released their Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics trail, designed by RKCR/Y&R and Red Bee Media.
The animation for the advert, which shows the character ‘Akiak’ using winter sports to retrieve ‘the missing head of Ilanaaq’, was created by Marc Craste at Studio AKA.
There are 20 and 40 second versions of the trail for TV as well as mobile and online executions.
BBC’s Vancouver Olympics marketing campaign will feature promotional activity across TV, radio, online and mobile. A version of the trail will also play throughout the Vancouver Olympics programming via title sequences and in programme graphics.
The Winter Olympics runs on BBC TV, radio, sport website, red button, mobile and iPlayer from 12-28 February 2010.
