Alastair Kirkwood, Managing Director, NFL UK

In his role as Managing Director of the National Football League’s UK business, Alistair Kirkwood is at the forefront of an exciting period of international growth for America’s most popular sport.

Under the guidance of Kirkwood, a nine-year NFL veteran, the league’s UK business has made significance advances over the past four years, including the return of Super Bowl to mainstream terrestrial TV and a new deal with Sky Sports that represents the richest international broadcast agreement in NFL history.

Most significantly, though, is the NFL’s decision to award a regular season game to the UK, with the Miami Dolphins hosting the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium on October 28. Kirkwood and his team are charged with turning the overwhelming interest in the game – which saw half a million ticket requests received within 72 hours of the initial announcement – into a lasting legacy for the sport this country.
