London 2012’s Games Makers, corporate partners and organisers will have the chance to buy one of the 3,000 BMW cars used during the Olympics by the official automotive partner of London 2012.

The cars, which will be available at around £6,000 below their market value, will almost all have only a few hundred miles on the clock and are made up of a variety of models.

‘We can confirm that all Games Makers, together with BMW Group Employees, selected corporate partners and Olympic Games organisers have been offered the chance to buy a BMW from the London 2012 fleet,’ a BMW spokesperson told insidethegames.

‘Prices will vary depending on the specification of the vehicle.’

BMW’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympics was widely praised as one of the most successful of the numerous backers of the event.

Meanwhile, the company last week appointed Synergy to advise on its partnership with the RFU.
