Holiday operator Center Parcs has hired sports marketing agency brandRapport to work on its sponsorship deal with Badminton England.
The partnership between Center Parcs and Badminton England was announced last month and is a five year agreement which will run beyond the London Olympics in 2012.
brandRapport will be responsible for the full activation programme for the sponsorship, including PR.
A major part of the agreement involves Center Parcs helping to support England’s badminton players, from grass roots through to elite, as Badminton England strives to achieve its goal of becoming the best badminton playing nation in the world by 2016.
In addition to providing financial support which will help develop world class talent, Badminton England will be making the most of the outstanding Center Parcs facilities for their players’ training camps and also the National Schools Championships
There is a natural synergy between Badminton England and Center Parcs with badminton being one of Center Parcs’ most popular activities; over 107,000 courts booked each a year by guests at its four UK Villages.
