British Triathlon has signed a new partnership to keep its athletes protected from nature’s rays, after announcing a deal with once-a-day sun protection brand P20.

The brand becomes the official sun protection supplier of the national sporting body and will supply its new range of products, set to be launched later this year, to novice and elite members.

Zara Hyde Peters OBE, the chief executive of British Triathlon, said: ‘British Triathlon is always interested in looking after the wellbeing of triathletes at all levels and it is so important that athletes – however experienced – remain protected in every aspect whilst racing or training.’

‘Sun protection is crucial as years of training outdoor can take its toll. P20 is a renowned for their long-lasting water-resistant products and we feel that the partnership was a perfect fit.’

British Triathlon enjoyed Olympic success last year with the Brownlee brothers, who also capitalised on the increased exposure and popularity of the sport with activation such as Triathlon Live.

British Triathlon is also the reigning Sport Governing Body of the Year, ahead of this year’s BT Sport Industry Awards, this Thursday.
