The final week of entries for the BT Sport Industry Awards 2019 has begun with records already close to being broken in a number of categories.
Organisations throughout the sport industry have until 5pm on Thursday, 29th November to register their participation in a process that will identify the best of the sector’s work this year.
The BT Sport Industry Awards is entering its 18th year in 2019, and has evolved into the world’s most prestigious commercial sports awards.
To mark the achievement, and support their unique status as “the industry’s awards,” a campaign running across Sport Industry Group channels this week will showcase a range of shortlisted entries from 2018.
The move reflects plans for increased engagement with all participants in 2019, including new co-marketing opportunities for winners and shortlisted entries.
Those partcipating include Garry Dods, founder of WeAreFearless, which last year took home the BT Sport Industry Award for Young Agency of the Year.
He said: “I think we were successful because we genuinely live our purpose and promise around Boldness with Backup – through our people, our work, our spirit, our tools, our point of difference.
“This fearless approach has created an energy and momentum that is inspiring us and our clients to be bolder every day to drive greater creativity and results.
“Winning a BT Sport Industry Awards has helped our clients appreciate even more the standards we’re setting and the return we’re bringing them.
“It’s inspired the team that we’re building something special; and it’s helped promote the agency and raise our awareness and reputation.
“The BT Sport Industry Awards are a great benchmark for how effective and strong your agency and work is.
“It’s an opportunity to get your name out there and build a best in class reputation.”
Others keen to highlight the positive impact of the BT Sport Industry Awards include six-time Agency of the Year winner M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, whose UK CEO Jamie Wynne-Morgan said: “We’ve been involved in the awards since their humble beginnings all the way through to the stand out date in the sport calendar that’s it’s now become.
“They continue to have a big impact on us as an agency. It’s something every single member of our team is proud to get behind and the success we’ve been lucky to have at the awards is certainly a motivation to keep going.”
Earlier this year, M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment and WeAreFearless were among a number of organisations that helped to launch the BT Sport Industry Awards 2019 as part of a #ShowUsYourTrophies campaign.
