Chime Communications, the marketing services network that includes sports agency Fast Track amongst its ranks, has bolstered its sports offering with the acquisition of pmplegacy, a global sporting events consultancy.
The move is designed to add to the capabilities of the sports marketing division of Chime Communications, developing its major event bidding and planning expertise.
pmplegacy, acquired from parent company pmpgenesis, has a 20-year track record of working with leading cities around the world on the evaluation, bidding, planning and delivery of major sporting events.
The business, founded by Peter Mann, has worked on a wide range of major events including Olympic & Paralympic Games; Youth Olympic Games; Asian and Commonwealth Games and Cricket, Football and Rugby World Cups.
Its clients include World Cup Barbados 2007; Beijing 2008; 2008 African Cup of Nations; Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games; London 2012; Glasgow 2014; Madrid 2016 and most recently, England’s 2018 FIFA World Cup bid.
pmplegacy has also worked extensively with many leading international federations including FIFA, the IRB and FIBA and NGBs such as the RFU, the FA, LTA, British Equestrian Federation and England Netball.
