ESPN has announced that it will be launching its US flagship show, Sportscenter, across Europe and the Middle East on March 1st.
The 30-minute SportsCenter on ESPN America will be televised five days-a-week from 7-8am GMT (8-9am CET) with an updated show at 10:30pm GMT/CET.
The show will roundup the latest results, news and information from US sporting events including MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAA basketball and American Football together with commentary, previews and feature stories.
ESPN America’s edition will remain true to the signature SportsCenter brand and style, but will be tailored for ESPN America and its viewers in Europe and the Middle East.
The show has been aired more than 35,000 times in America and the broadcast on ESPN America will be the 13th edition to be shown around the globe, with versions already shown in countries such as Mexico, Japan, India and Brazil.
ESPN America is now available in more than 18m homes across more than 40 countries throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Since ESPN acquired NASN and rebranded it ESPN America, the channel’s distribution has grown more than 165%.
