Finance Firms Create New Paralympic Awards

Visa and Nationwide have formed a marketing alliance to create a new awards
event which will act as the climax to this month’s Paralympic World Cup in
Manchester.

The Nationwide Achievement Awards will be presented at a ceremony on the
evening of Saturday 12 May with the Paralympic World Cup, title sponsored by
Visa, running from 7-13 May.

Twelve Nationwide Achievement Awards will be presented to athletes competing
at the Visa Paralympic World Cup with Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson and South African
sprinter Oscar Pistorius among the Paralympians scheduled to appear at the
event.

In addition to presenting the Nationwide Achievement Awards, Nationwide has
run a promotion for their Visa cardholders, linked to the awards, which will
give two draw winners the chance to win a Visa hospitality package to the
Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
