Omnicom Media Group’s sport and entertainment agency, Fuse, has hired Kate Fairclough from WPP’s Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a senior account director, who will now focus on a variety of clients including Carlsberg and Nissan.

Fairclough joins Fuse after a four-year stint at H+K, where she worked with blue chip clients including HSBC, Aviva and OMEGA, and had previously held roles at sports lifestyle brand Puma and specialist communications agency Pitch.

Mark Bullingham, managing director of Fuse EMEA, said of the appointment: ‘We are really pleased that Kate has joined our ever expanding team here at Fuse. Her experience across BTL campaigns and social integration really impressed us and we are confident she will offer some fantastic senior level counsel to our growing portfolio of clients.’

Kate Fairclough, senior account director at Fuse, added: ‘Fuse has a strong client base of exciting and ambitious brands. I am delighted to be joining as the agency continues its rapid growth.’

Along the way it has established a portfolio of high-profile clients, including Vodafone, Standard Chartered, Gatorade, McDonald’s, Nissan, Renault, Carlsberg, Intel, Virgin Media, Waitrose, John Lewis, Starbucks, Pepsi, Specsavers and Visa.
