Gfinity Appoints Graham Wallace

Esports company Gfinity has announced Graham Wallace as its new global chief operating officer and executive director.

Wallace, a former COO of Manchester City FC, joins with immediate effect and will link up again with former colleague and recently appointed executive chairman of Gfinity, Garry Cook.

The appointment adds further heavyweight credentials to Gfininty’s top team as the company prepares to enter new global markets.

Wallace brings 25 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry, including senior executive positions with Viacom Inc, MTV Networks Europe and IMG Media.

He was chief financial officer and later chief operating officer at Manchester City between 2009 and 2013, later joining Rangers FC as CEO.

Welcoming Wallace to Gfinity, Garry Cook said: “Graham’s leadership and operational skills, combined with extensive knowledge of the media, sports and entertainment sectors will be invaluable as we begin to write the next chapter of the Gfinity story.

“The esports industry is expected to grow to $1.65 billion globally by 2021. With a clear strategy and an experienced leadership team now in place, Gfinity will be able to take full advantage of this growth and build upon its position as a world leader in the esports community.”
