GoPro’s founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman officially opened the European Headquarters of the versatile camera brand in Munich last night, with the help of a new highlights video featuring Danny Macaskill, Sam Pilgrim and Rachel Atherton – who are part of GoPro’s European athlete team.

After a modest start in 2007, GoPro cameras and accessories are now sold in more than 12,000 stores and specialty shops across 14 European countries.
Prior to its new headquarters in Europe, GoPro has previously laid a strong foundation in the territory, with the brand involved in nearly 100 events in 14 European countries including the Freeride World Tour, UCI Downhill World Cup series and FIM Motocross World Championship series throughout 2014.
In addition, GoPro – whose main base is in San Mateo, California – is partnering with nine action sports resorts in total located in the Alps and Scandinavia.
GoPro’s latest camera, the HERO3+, is currently being worn by some of Europe’s most renowned action and adventure sports athletes, including the Mountain Bike Freeride World Tour Champion, Sam Pilgrim; seven times MotoX World Champion, Tony Cairoli; the reigning UCI Downhill World Champion, Rachel Atherton and mountain bike artist, Danny MacAskill.
