Agency chief Sally Hancock has been named as the new London 2012 partnership
director at Lloyds TSB with Shaun Whatling replacing her as chief executive of
sports marketing agency Redmandarin.

Hancock, who founded Redmandarin in 1999 and has served as the agency’s chief
executive since that point, had already been working as an agency supplier to
Lloyds TSB assessing the potential of its involvement as the first domestic
sponsor signed up for the London 2012 Olympics.

Reporting to Nigel Gilbert, group marketing director at the bank, Hancock
will now be responsible for the strategic development and delivery of Lloyds
TSB’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Lloyds TSB became the first London 2012 top-tier domestic sponsor in March in
a deal worth a reputed £80m.

Hancock will continue to work with Redmandarin on a one day a week basis with
Whatling stepping up from his existing board director post to take on the
running of the agency full-time.

Whatling, alongside Redmandarin’s chief operating officer Chris Roe, will now
take charge of the agency whose clients include advising on the sponsorship
portfolio of the likes of Sony Ericsson, SABMiller, Akzo Nobel and Deutsche
Telekom on an international basis. Redmandarin will also remain on the Lloyds
TSB agency roster.
