Hatch Communications has been appointed by the Angling Trust, the representative body for game, coarse and sea anglers in England, to review its sponsorship acquisition and strategic structure.

As the governing body for all of angling in England, the Angling Trust supports the sport from grass-roots participation right through to elite-level performance and competitions.

The association is looking to re-launch its sponsorship offers and has briefed the PR and Sponsorship agency to establish a coherent strategy to aid partnership acquirement and develop bespoke sponsorship packages.

Mark Lloyd, chief executive at the Angling Trust said: ‘Our organisation is privileged to work with a number of sponsors, but we are still seeking sponsorship for a wide range of programmes for the nation’s 3 million anglers, and to support several of the 30 England angling squads that we manage. We’re thrilled to be working alongside Hatch Communications who will aid the Angling Trust’s development from a commercial perspective.’

Jason Madeley, managing director at Hatch Communications, added: ‘We’re delighted to be working alongside the Angling Trust as they look to take their current strategy to the next level.’

‘In this current climate, potential sponsors expect a lot more value in return for their investment. The Angling Trust is lucky to have a wide range of attributes and properties that are appealing to potential sponsors. Our team has a wealth of experience in helping put a detailed structure in place to ensure the Angling Trust can grow as an association and improve their revenue and attract new partners via an organised sponsorship structure.’
