Heikon Bag Serie A Rights

Heikon, the Swiss media company, have bought the exclusive broadcast rights for the Italian top-tier domestic football league, Serie A, for the next two seasons.

Acquiring the rights from commercial holders, MP & Silva, Heikon’s deal includes free-to-air, pay-television and pay-per-view rights, covering the rights of 12 Italian football clubs, including AC Milan, Juventus, Internazionale, Juventus and Roma.

‘We are pleased to sign a deal with MP & Silva for Serie A, which will transform us into the market leader of sports broadcasting in Switzerland,’ said Danilo Mansi, chief executive officer of Heikon.

‘Geographically, culturally and commercially, Italian Serie A attracts a huge core audience and is one of the most important sporting events for Switzerland. Winning the television rights is going to help us strengthen our market position tremendously.’
