Hill+Knowlton Strategies UK has launched a new in-house AudioVisual Content + Production specialist offering, following the appointment of Toby Leslie as Senior Creative Producer and the promotion of James Alexander to Head of AudioVisual Content + Production.
With over 15 years’ experience in the advertising and film industries, Toby has directed TV ads for brands including Pizza Hut and The Guardian. In addition to brand focused work, Toby co-wrote, produced and directed the short film ‘The Cookie Thief’ (nominated for a Cannes Palme D’Or) and his latest short film, The Pro, starring Richard Coyle (Pusher), aired on Sky Movies.
James, a consultant at the agency since 2004, has spearheaded H+K’s drive to formalise and expand the agency’s capability in video content marketing. James will retain a role in H+K Sports, who last year delivered video content led campaigns including the Roger Federer Trickshot for Gillette and adidas’ #takethestage photobooth stunt with David Beckham.
Commenting on the offer James said: ‘As communication consultants, we’ve always had to tell stories that are exciting and credible enough to earn their place in the media. These principles are already at the heart of what we do and now, with the formalisation of AudioVisual Content + Production and the arrival of Toby, we are better placed than ever to offer end-to-end and industry leading campaigns for our clients.’
The launch is one of a number of recent new developments at H+K Strategies to expand its services and expertise for clients, such as the launch of Soho Partners (partnership marketing) and The Digital Studio (digital build capability).
Group managing director, Ben Curson, who is leading H+K’s specialist service expansion, added: ‘Over recent years, we have seen a rapid evolution in the client need for content creation. Our AudioVisual Content + Production unit is the latest development for H+K Strategies in the UK, enabling us to deliver cutting-edge creative video content, alongside a range of other core and specialist services.’
