Img Snaps Up Quintus Group

IMG has acquired sports marketing events and consulting agency Quintus Group for
an unnamed sum, the latest in a string of independent agencies being bought up.

Quintus Group, which owns and operates the rights to the Hurlingham Polo
event, the Masters Tennis event in London and the London Triathlon, is now 100%
owned by IMG and will be folded into the agency’s events division.

The Quintus Group brands will continue to trade under their existing names.

The deal also includes Quintus’ sponosrship consulting division SBI, its
perimeter and signage business, 3-D-Signs and its corporate hopsitality arm.

Quintus managing director Peter Worth was an IMG employee before leaving to
set up the group in 1991 – a move that has now come full circle following the
sale. Worth will continue his role as chief executive of the Quintus Group.
