Innocent will reportedly join Coca-Cola, its majority shareholder, as a sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The deal, says Marketing Week, ‘takes advantage of Coca-Cola’s long-standing global partnership with the International Olympic Committee’ – but Innocent’s marketing activities will be separate from its owner.

They will include the Olympic rings being displayed on Innocent products, with the sponsorship and surrounding marketing expected to focus on health and sustainability messaging.

‘It’s a great fit for us as we’re a London company with strong health and sustainability credentials,’ Marketing Week quoted a statement from the company.

‘The London 2012 Olympics will be the most sustainable ever and are all about getting people active and healthy – which is what we are all about.’
