Interpublic Acquires Frukt Communications

Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. has acquired London-based strategic and creative music and entertainment agencies Frukt Communications to work with its sports and entertainment agency, Octagon.

Harris Diamond, CEO of Interpublic’s Constituency Management Group, which includes Octagon, said: ‘The acquisition of Frukt further strengthens Octagon’s industry leadership in the global entertainment marketing business and strengthens its global reach.’

‘Our clients will benefit from this expanded focus to connect and engage with the passions of sports and entertainment fans across multiple platforms.’

Established in 2001, Frukt has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Southern Comfort, Diesel and Starwood Hotels and the acquisition will allow Frukt to fast track its international growth and diversification into broader entertainment sectors.

Octagon currently work with a client list which includes NBA, Carlsberg, Vodafone, Tesco, MasterCard, Mars, NFL, npower and Speedo.
