P&G Ireland has teamed up with the Olympic Council of Ireland and Paralympics Ireland to support the family and friends of the athletes competing at London 2012.

The company launched its “nearest and dearest” programme last year, designed to support, advise and look after those close to the athletes competing, to allow them to focus on London 2012.

P&G will be helping them to find their way to Games venues to watch their loved ones, including boxer Katie Taylor (pictured above), compete at London 2012 as well as giving advice in the build-up regarding how to support them during training.

The company is also ensuring that the mother of every athlete gets to see their son or daughter competing next summer with free tickets to their first appearance at the Games.
