Lexis Appoints New Head Of Sport

Marketing communications consultancy Lexis Sport has promoted Emma Newell to head of sport and Gareth Griffiths to client services director.??

Newell takes over the Head of Sport role from Will Oscroft who has moved to Falcon and Associates, a Lexis Sport client, as marketing director.??

Newell will use her 13 years experience working in the sports industry to oversee the strategic planning and consultancy for all clients while also focusing on the growth of the sports division at Lexis Public Relations.??

In her six years at Lexis Sport, Newell has led the global PR activation of Barclays’ sponsorship of the Premier League.??

More recently, she has been responsible for the pan-European communications campaign linked to Turismo Madrid’s bid to host the Ryder Cup in 2018.??

Gareth joined Lexis Public Relations over eight years ago as a graduate and was one of the founding members of the sports team and has lead the PR at the Barclays New York Challenge and Barclays Asia Trophy.??
