M&C Saatchi Expands Into Australia

Marketing communications agency M&C Saatchi is to open the third regional office of its Sport & Entertainment company in Australia next month.


The agency, whose UK headquarters has won the Sport Industry Awards Agency of the Year for the past two years, will open the doors on its Sydney office on 1st October 2009.


The focus at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment Australia, like its London and New York counterparts, will be on full exploitation of brand sponsorship rights in the areas of sport, music, film and the arts.


Andrew Condon has been appointed Managing Director of the Australian company with his previous roles including experience as a senior consultant at sports marketing firm gemba, and as national sponsorship manager at Lion Nathan.


Condon will be joined by Jack Lamacraft as the division’s Head of PR, joining from previous roles at Weber Shandwick and UK PR firm, Cake.


Recruitment for other M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment Australia team members is currently in progress.
 
M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment employs 28 people in its London office where its clients include Coca Cola, Castrol, Alfred Dunhill, Reebok, Carlsberg, NatWest, Orange and TaylorMade-adidas Golf. In New York, its clients include Reebok and ESPN.
