Monitor Quest, the integrity management firm, has unified its sport-related expertise to create Monitor Quest Sport. The move comes as sporting bodies are increasingly putting measures in place to deal with integrity issues, such as robust governance structures and comprehensive anti-corruption training and education programmes for athletes and their support staff.
The brand, headed by ex-Metropolitan Police Commissioner Lord Stevens, helps agencies, sporting bodies and brand owners protect their reputation and integrity.
It does this by providing tailored integrity management solutions, experienced leadership on sensitive investigations, and insight on governance and regulatory issues.
The firm’s involvement in sport addresses a variety of integrity issues currently faced by the industry from governance and management corruption, to athlete cheating and off-field behaviour, and sensitive sport-business specific investigations.
Monitor Quest Sport has worked with sporting bodies, including the Premier League and the Fédération Equestre Internationale, as well as the International Centre for Sport Security.
Monitor Quest Sport is sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sport Industry Awards 2012, held on 2nd May 2012 at Battersea Evolution. Previous winners include Sir Bobby Charlton, Bernie Ecclestone and Ron Dennis.
In addition, Monitor Quest Sport will partner with the Sport Industry Group to highlight the importance of ethics in sport over a series of industry events.
Lord Stevens, chairman of Monitor Quest, said: ‘Good ethics, integrity and governance are vital to the success and growth of sport, and the industry around it. With Monitor Quest Sport we want to help promote these values at a time when sporting integrity issues are becoming more frequent, unpredictable and damaging.’
Nick Keller, the chairman of the Sport Industry Group, added: ‘Over more than a decade, the Sport Industry Awards have established a reputation for integrity and high standards which has been vital to becoming the key celebration of the industry’s success. The evidence of their success is an association with some of the most respected brands both within and beyond the world of sport.’
‘Monitor Quest and its Chairman, Lord Stevens, are recognised the world over as leaders in the fields of security and integrity, and we are thrilled to announce this partnership. We look forward to working with them to further highlight the importance of ethics in sport.’
