Electronics brand Panasonic has renewed its long-standing sponsorship deal with
the International Olympic Committee for a further eight years until the Summer
Olympics in 2016.

The deal, which includes sponsorship of the Paralympic Games, sees Panasonic
remain a top-tier Olympic partner covering all Games for the next eight years.

Panasonic will continue to be the official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the
Audio and Video Equipment product category, and will have global marketing
rights for the Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, London 2012, Sochi 2014 and the
2016 Olympic Games, as well as for the 205 individual National Olympic
Committees and their Olympic teams.

The partnership between the IOC and Panasonic began in 1985 with the latter
joining a raft of top-tier Olympic sponsors who committed to long-term deals
with the governing body.
