Remaining tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games go on sale on a first come, first served basis at 1pm today.

Following unprecedented interest for a Paralympic Games, over a million tickets have already been sold for next year’s competition. However, a limited amount of tickets will still be available to purchase.

Full price tickets start at £10, with tickets for young people and seniors costing as little as £5.

LOCOG Chief Executive Paul Deighton said: ‘Following the unprecedented demand for Paralympic tickets earlier this year, these tickets are a wonderful opportunity to take family and friends to  the Games next year – a fantastic Christmas gift.’

‘Those who get hold of one of these remaining tickets will get the chance to witness amazing athletes and sport like never before during what will undoubtedly be a time of extraordinary pride for our nation.’

Seats are still available for a number of sports including athletics in the Olympic Stadium, swimming in the Aquatics Centre and wheelchair basketball.

Tickets will be available from www.tickets.london2012.com or via telephone on 0844 847 2012 – and as an official sponsor of London 2012, only Visa cards can be used to purchase tickets.
