Today marks the closing date for entries to Beyond Sport’s P&G UK Impact Award, in association with the Daily Telegraph, which will see the most innovative organisations in the country win recognition for the difference they have made in their community through sport.

The winner of the Award will be revealed at the Beyond Sport London Reception on Wednesday 20th June, which – along with the Beyond Sport Summit & Awards in July – promises to be a vital networking opportunity not only for those using sport as a tool for social change, but  for all those working in the business of sport in London’s Olympic year.

Beyond Sport has come together with Olympic TOP partner Procter & Gamble (P&G) and the Daily Telegraph to unearth, promote and provide funding for a shortlist of projects, to be revealed in the coming weeks ahead of the 20th June event, at which the winner will be announced in front of a hugely influential gathering of figures from across British, European and world sport. The evening will also see the presentation of the Beyond Sport Leadership Award supported by P&G.

The Beyond Sport Summit, to be staged from 23rd to 25th July in London, will feature such speakers as Rt Hon Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister; Olympic legends and Beyond Sport Ambassadors Michael Johnson and Bob Beamon; Barclays chief executive Bob Diamond; the most successful Paralympian of all time, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson; celebrity chef and campaigner Jamie Oliver; and NBA legend and activist John Amaechi. Held in the week of the London 2012 opening ceremony, it will provide a unique networking and business opportunity as well as bringing together the entire spectrum of sport for change organisations from across the globe.

Entries are open until 5pm today at www.beyondsport.org
