Former London 2012 Events Manager, Lisa Broomhead is to head up an event and experiential division at Pitch, the sports and sponsorship communications consultancy.
Pitch is hoping the move will provide the agency’s existing client base with a broader spectrum of services in addition to securing pieces of business in the hospitality and events sector.
Lisa Broomhead, has been involved in the sport industry for over 15 years and has previously worked with both Nike and adidas.
Broomhead has been involved in communications and sponsorship for three Olympic and Paralympic Games and was a member of the London 2012 Bid and subsequently the communications team, including being responsible for the London 2012 National Roadshow.
Laura Thorne whose client experience includes Nike, where she worked on a number of Nike Women’s Training Club campaigns, will join Broomhead.
Juliet Slot, managing director of Pitch, said: ‘Having already delivered experiential events for a number of our clients in conjunction with our core communications role, our new division will enable us to further develop this function within the agency.’
‘As London 2012 approaches it also provides us with an excellent opportunity to attract new business in a sector that will be key for businesses to engage consumers during the Games,’ added Slot.
