To celebrate a year in which British sport has taken centre stage on a global scale, Sport Industry TV is delighted to launch a new series – Podiums Change Careers.

With medals won, trophies lifted, records broken, legends born and generations inspired, those responsible for the momentous sporting highlights of the past 12 months will be rewarded at the industry’s flagship event, the Sport Industry Awards, on May 2nd 2013. Before then, Podiums Change Careers will provide an insight into the career-defining moments of leading figures from across the UK sport industry.

The series will see some of the most influential figures in the sports business marketplace look back to the person or moment in their life that changed own their path, as well as consider the advice they would give to someone taking the first steps on the podium of their own career.

Podiums Change Careers opens with a double-header, with psychologist, consultant and former NBA star John Amaechi and Sir Dave Richards, chairman of the Premier League, giving their insights. The two men also look back at the sporting moments in 2012 that changed someone else’s career.

They also reveal which brand has topped the podium for them in 2012. Richards and Amaechi go for two of the sport industry’s big names – find out who on Sport Industry TV.
