UK Anti-Doping has revealed details of its most comprehensive anti-doping education and drug testing programme ever ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will include over 100 education sessions, and it is expected that every athlete selected for Team GB and ParalympicsGB will be tested at least once in the run-up to the summer event.

The programme is being run in partnership with the National Governing Bodies of Sport, the British Olympic Association (BOA) and the British Paralympic Association (BPA).

The majority of tests, of which both urine and blood testing will be used, will be attempted through no-advance notice, out-of-competition tests, either at squad training sessions or through whereabouts information provided by athletes.

Sport Industry TV spoke recently to Andy Parkinson, Chief Executive of UK Anti-Doping, on the challenges of catching a cheat and the chances of a drugs-free Olympic Games. Watch the interview here.
