Media sources have revealed that Proactive, one of the UK’s largest sports agencies, is taking Manchester Utd’s Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen to court, claiming a failure to pay the company.
Proactive cited that the couple owes two months’ commission as well as various other bills, such as £19,000 for the football star’s stag weekend in Ibiza.
The striker and his wife have are allegedly furious that their financial details have been made public after being filed with Leeds Crown Court.
On top of Rooney’s £90,000-a-week salary, the records states he earns £760,000 every six months for image rights, £1m a year from Nike, £118,689.57 twice a year from EA Games and has made £3.55m from a 12-year, five-book deal.
Similar details were published about his wife’s earnings.
The hearing is scheduled for early next year.
