The unique partnership between Beyond Sport and PwC was awarded at the MCA Awards Dinner in London last week, recognised in the Education and Young people category for the outstanding achievements of the pro-bono delivery to more than 40 projects from across the globe.
The Worshipful Company of Management Consultants and MCA (Management Consultancies Association – the representative body for management consultancy firms in the UK) held the awards dinner to recognise the pro-bono contributions management consultants make to wider society.
Entries were judged under 3 categories: health and wellbeing, education and young people, and employability, with the collaboration of the partnership, as well as the innovation, sustainability, diversity and inclusion all considered throughout the process.
The partnership between Beyond Sport and PwC involves over 150 PwC UK employees, along with leveraged additional support from 11 PwC territories.
PwC also contributed 1,150 consulting days (including 900 hours of partner/director time) and the partnership has seen 45 projects, across 17 countries, supported.
Isabelle Jenkins, partner, PwC said: ‘We are delighted to have been recognised by the MCA for the work we completed with Beyond Sport – a true example of a shared value partnership.’
‘While supporting inspirational organisations that serve thousands of people and address numerous social issues, we added value to our organisation by offering interesting and challenging employee engagement opportunities to all levels of staff. 100% of staff involved expressed an intention to continue working with Beyond Sport projects in their own time, which demonstrates how much this experience meant to them.’
The final two shortlisted were PwC and Deloitte – who entered for their partnership with The Prince’s Trust.
