Sport industry veterans Laura Weston and Jules Hilton have launched a new consultancy for clients looking to capitalise on the growth of women’s sport.

The female-founded company, named ‘See You At Jeanie’s’, will offer strategic and creative advice for brands and sports organisations aiming to expand within women’s sport.

See You At Jeanie’s has signed up the Women’s Super League (WSL) as its first client and is currently in talks with additional brand and sports organisations.

Weston, who will serve as Sport Strategist at Jeanie’s, has 25 years of industry experience, having worked with Welsh Women’s rugby, the WSL and the FA. The Co-Founder is also a trustee of the Women’s Sport Trust and the Liverpool Football Club Foundation.

Jeanie’s other Co-Founder, Hilson, who most recently served as Executive Creative Director at MSL for Puma, has a career spanning more than two decades. She will serve as Creative Strategist for the new consultancy, helping brands maximise the “brilliant creative opportunity” presented by women’s sport.

“There’s a new generation of sports talent and fans who are redefining women’s sport on and off the pitch (court, track…), through fashion, music, content, and collaboration,” Hilson said.

“Our work at Jeanie’s will make a difference for our clients whilst creating a new women’s sport marketing and communications playbook.”

Weston added, “Women’s sport is fast-moving, with huge potential for rights holders and brands but there has been hesitation on both sides to activate in a way that will maximise impact.

“For brands, this can come from concern over how to show up appropriately which leads to the work being less creative and lacking in purpose.

“Sport has been viewed predominantly through a male lens and that hasn’t helped, we are here to redress the balance.”
