Sochi 2014 Seals $100m Sponsorship Deal
Sochi 2014 Organising Committee for the Winter Olympics has signed a sponsorship deal worth more than $100m with Russia’s largest airline, Aeroflot.
The deal will see Aeroflot take General Partner status in the Passenger Air Transportation Services category for the Winter Games.
The airline will have exclusive rights to use the symbols of the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games as well as symbols of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees in the territory of Russia.
The deal only heightens the already success Sochi 2014 has experienced regarding private financial investments, which had proven to be substantial enough for the committee not to need state funds.
The contract with Aeroflot also includes General Partner status of the Russian Olympic and Paralympic teams at the 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 Olympic Games.
