The Sport Industry Group and the Financial Times are delighted to unveil
investment bank Société Générale as a panel sponsor for the FT Sport Industry
Summit 2007 on 1st November.
Société Générale has signed up as a commercial partner of the Summit which
will attract a host of leading practitioners from the business of sport to the
Cumberland Hotel in central London.
The bank has signed up to sponsor the panel entitled ‘Sport’s Big Issues –
The Business Leaders’ Debate’ – a discussion which will feature some of the
world’s most high-profile heavyweights from the worlds of business and sport
discussing the foremost challenges in the relationship between business and
sport.
The panel is one of an array of debates, interviews and keynote addresses
outlined for the day in which sport’s top decision-makers from government,
governing bodies, broadcast and media, sponsorship, finance and business will
all return to discuss the key issues affecting the industry at the second annual
FT Sport Industry Summit.
Among the speakers already confirmed for this year’s Summit include Dick
Pound, chairman of WADA and former IOC vice president; Nick Fry, CEO, Honda F1
Racing; David Gill, CEO, Manchester United; Brian Barwick, chief executive, The
Football Association; and Paul Deighton, CEO, London 2012 organising committee
LOCOG.
These leaders represent a selection of the industry’s key protagonists, from
all across the globe, who will make up the panels at the FT Sport Industry
Summit 2007, offering their insight and experience to the array of delegates
from all sectors of the sport industry who will gather for this year’s event.
