The Sport Industry Group is delighted to announce that David Cameron, Leader of
the Conservative Party, is to make the Sport Industry Lecture 2007, outlining
for the very first time his vision for sport.

In an exclusive address in London on 22nd May, Cameron will reveal to members
of the sport business industry his views on a host of topical issues.

With sport and the delivery of the London 2012 Olympics sure to be one of the
primary voting battlefields at the General Election, Cameron’s revelations will
provide a unique insight into the Conservative Party’s emerging thinking on this
crucial subject.

Cameron was elected Leader of the Conservative Party on 6th December 2005,
succeeding Michael Howard as Leader of the Opposition. Among the previous
political roles that the 40-year old Cameron has held during his career are
Shadow Secretary of State for Education and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative
Party.

David Cameron is the second figurehead to give the annual Sport Industry
Lecture, following in the footsteps of Lord Sebastian Coe, Chairman of London
2012, who gave the inaugural address.
