Content creation agency Sportsbeat have partnered with the British Olympic Association, Samsung and Sainsbury’s as part of their coverage of the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
The team in Russia will be headed by managing editor James Toney and Olympics editor Ryan Bangs – who between them have covered 12 Olympics – as well as multimedia reporter Ryan Walters. All of the multimedia content from the Olympics will be produced in association with Samsung while Sainsbury’s is the sponsor of the Paralympic coverage.
In addition, Sportsbeat will provide the official editorial feed to the website of the British Olympic Association and will help deliver social media content that will reach their one million followers and friends on Twitter and Facebook. They will also provide a range of press support services to the British Olympic team.
Sportsbeat MD James Parsons said of their coverage of the Games: ‘Sportsbeat is proud of our commitment to coverage of Olympic and Paralympic sport and we are very pleased to be working with two major sponsors and the British Olympic Association. Last year we attended the European Youth Olympic Festivals in Brasov and Utrecht and Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney. And this year we’ll also be covering the second Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.’
Parsons added: ‘Our coverage of Sochi has been months in the planning and we’re looking forward to covering some medals, having got to know so many of our winter sports athletes so well in recent months.’
