Square1 Sports To Offer Reputation Management

Reacting to the recent spate of sporting takeovers, Square1 Sports, a new sports
business consultancy, has been launched with the aim of advising sports
organisations on their corporate reputations during such periods.

Square1 Sports is a division of Square1 Consulting, a London based company
that has recently acquired Holborn Public Relations Ltd.

The new consultancy business will offer a wide range of communication
services including reputation audits and management, internal communications and
long-term planning across all merger and acquisition strategies and
international regulation management.

With a host of foreign investors eyeing the UK sports market, in particular
football, sports organisations have found themselves with a need to manage their
corporate reputations more effectively given the heavy media spotlight on such
deals.

Square1 Sports is headed by Paul McGoohan, former news editor at Sky Sports
News, and David Bick who, between them, have advised on clients ranging from
Randy Lerner’s purchase of Aston Villa through to Thaksin Shinawatra’s recent
takeover of Manchester City.
