Subway UK & Ireland has extended its brief with international sports marketing agency Fast Track, who will work alongside partner agency Good Relations to develop the Subway Helping Hearts Family 5K events throughout the UK in 2014.
Following the successful delivery of six events across the UK in its inaugural year, Fast Track, part of the CSM Sport & Entertainment group has now been briefed to develop the series to 13 events.
Subway Helping Hearts Family 5K runs promote the Subway low fat range and are open to the whole family, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to be active and healthy, with hundreds of families taking part last year to raise money for Heart Research UK.
All money raised goes towards the HRUK and Subway Heart Health grants scheme to help community groups run heart health projects in their local areas.
Manaaz Akhtar, regional marketing director for Europe at Subway commented: ‘The first Subway Helping Hearts Family 5K series has been a fantastic success, engaging with local communities across the country and supporting a great cause. The events are well aligned with the Subway brand in keeping an active and healthy lifestyle. Fast Track has brought their extensive experience in the running world through sponsorship and event delivery to the series and we are looking forward to working with them to develop and grow the events again in 2014.’
Jon Wyatt, managing director at Fast Track added: ‘We are delighted to be continuing our work with the Subway brand into 2014 on the Subway Helping Hearts Family 5k events. It was a great success last year and we are looking forward to helping grow the series across the UK next year. It is a fantastic initiative which really gets the whole family moving and active and we are proud to be leading the event delivery with our partner agency Good Relations.’
