Threepipe Communications and Blowfish Digital have announced a merger of the two agencies to unite as one integrated marketing agency under the new Threepipe brand.
Together Jim Hawker, Eddie May, Farhad Koodoruth and their team of 50 experts in the industry intend to offer clients a fully integrated service that recognises how digital media, search, social media, content and traditional PR all need to interact in order to engage audiences and deliver commercial results.
The new agency has outlined a range of disciplines it intends to focus on:
- Digital marketing including SEO, PPC, digital media planning and buying, mobile, affiliate marketing, data analytics and attribution modelling
- Content creation including mobile and social apps, digital games, video, digital creative assets, infographics and visualisations, and events, stunts and brand experiences
- PR and social media, with specialist consumer, corporate and b2b, and sports teams
According to the agency’s official press release, the merger was prompted by the recognition of how audiences now access information about brands, and what influences their perceptions and buying decisions.
Eddie May, co-founder of Threepipe, explains: ‘This isn’t simply a partnership or the launch of a new division; it’s a full merger of two established, successful agencies with complementary skill sets. We’ve been integrating social media and content into our PR campaigns for years, but we saw the need to offer clients a wider range of skills, giving us the ability to create properly integrated and effective campaigns, all under one roof.’
‘The PR industry continues to struggle with evaluation, and consistently fails to prove its commercial value to ever more demanding stakeholders. We’re already making exciting progress, identifying measurable outcomes from our campaigns using the evaluation ideas and analytical skills that exist within the Blowfish Digital team. We’re confident that together we can deliver our clients the success, and crucially the evidence of this success, they require.’
Farhad Koodoruth, founder of Blowfish Digital, added: ‘The nature of digital marketing is changing fundamentally, especially with search algorithms putting a much greater emphasis than ever before on the quality and frequency of a brand’s content, media coverage and social media activity. For clients to maintain a commercial advantage, we strongly believe that each of these areas needs to be connected, which is why we decided that a merger with Threepipe made perfect sense.’
‘By combining the strategic thinking and creativity of PR with the analytical techniques of digital marketing, our new agency will be able to leverage the best of both worlds to create an approach for clients that harnesses the power of content to deliver across a variety of objectives, from raising awareness and improving search rankings, to directly delivering sales.’
The two independent agencies have fully merged on an equal basis, and will operate as one single agency under the Threepipe name, working from new joint premises in Holborn, London. Jim Hawker and Eddie May, co-founders of Threepipe, are joined by Farhad Koodoruth, founder of Blowfish Digital, as co-owners and directors of the new business.
