David Learmonth, Puma’s long-serving UK & Ireland marketing director, has
left the sports good brand with immediate effect according to reports.

The departure of Learmonth, who has been in the role for the last five years,
is understood to be the result of a restructure of Puma’s management team which
also saw managing director Andrew Peters part ways with the company late last
year.

A replacement for Learmonth, who was previously head of the apparel business
unit at adidas, is now being actively sought by Puma.

One of Learmonth’s primary targets at Puma was to widen the appeal of the
brand – a strategy that included securing higher exposure in football through a
sponsorship deal with the Football League.

Richard Calloway remains head of team sports at Puma and will continue to
handle the bulk of the brand’s UK sponsorships.
