Yonex Backs European Champs
Yonex has agreed to sponsor the 2010 European Individual Badminton Championships to be held at the M.E.N. Arena Manchester in April.
The announcement for the Yonex European Badminton Championships comes just nine months after Yonex agreed a five-year extension of their All England partnership through to 2014, stretching the association to 31 years.
Twelve months ago Badminton Europe announced an extension of their partnership with Yonex through to 2012 to be the official shuttles, court equipment and stringing suppliers for European Championships.
The Yonex European Badminton Championships in Manchester marks the first time the individual events have been staged independently of the team event.
The Yonex All England Championships take place in Birmingham’s National Indoor Arena from 9th-14th March while the Yonex European Badminton Championships are being staged at the M.E.N Arena Manchester from 14th-18th April.
The Team and Individual Championships have been brought to the North-West in a partnership between BADMINTON England, Badminton Europe, Liverpool City Council, Manchester City Council, the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) and UK Sport.
