Zara Phillips Joins Samsung Team

Worldwide Olympic Partner Samsung Electronics has announced an agreement with Zara Phillips MBE to become Samsung’s UK Olympic Games ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic Games, playing a pivotal role in raising awareness of Samsung’s London 2012 sponsorship.

She will be involved in numerous activities across Samsung’s London 2012 campaign including advertising, marketing, multi-platform public relations and social media campaigns. ?
According to the electronics brand, Zara was chosen because she is a patriotic British athlete and her dedication to training for possible selection at London 2012, to compete in Team GB as a three day eventer with her chosen horse, is evident. ? ?

Speaking at the signing, Zara Phillips said: ‘I’m delighted to become an Ambassador for Samsung for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Samsung is using its sponsorship to encourage everyone to get involved in the Olympic Games, and I’m looking forward to helping more people actively participate and be part of London 2012’.

‘Technology plays such a huge part in helping deliver the Games to the fans, and taking the spectacle through smartphone technology to those that aren’t able to see the events in person’. ?

Zara Phillips joins David Beckham, who was signed up as Samsung’s Global Ambassador for London 2012 on 4th May 2011.

Samsung will be announcing a number of initiatives creating opportunities for young people to be actively involved in the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Using these initiatives, Samsung plan to ignite a desire in people all over the world to be involved with this historical global event that will evoke passionate memories to share with future generations.
