Alessia Russo, Cole Palmer, and Lando Norris all dominated the sporting conversation in the latest weekend in sport. We’ve looked back at the highlights…

Lando Norris secured McLaren’s first Formula 1 constructors’ championship for 26 years with victory in the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Norris led from start to finish and his fourth win of the season was enough to seal the championship by 14 points, despite Ferrari finishing second and third with Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

Earlier in the year, McLaren Racing agreed a deal with T-Mobile that includes branding on the Formula 1 team’s cars and garage headsets.

Lewis Hamilton took fourth place in his final race for Mercedes, passing team-mate George Russell around the outside of Turn Nine with six corners of the race to go.

Hamilton did doughnuts on the pit straight after crossing the line and then took a few moments with his car, collecting his thoughts, before congratulating Norris and McLaren F1 boss Zak Brown and consoling Sainz and Leclerc.

In July, Hamilton was unveiled as a global brand ambassador for CFI.

Despite taking a two-goal lead, Tottenham Hotspur were defeated by Chelsea in a seven-goal thriller at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Two Marc Cucarella mistakes contributed to Spurs grabbing two early goals but Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea fought back to score four times, with two penalties from Cole Palmer.

With Arsenal and Manchester City both dropping points earlier in the weekend, the 3-4 win put Chelsea into second place in the Premier League.

Last week, Football DataCo, the company that represents the data rights of the Premier League and the EFL, partnered with US sports performance analysis and scouting firm Hudl.

Alessia Russo scored for a fourth consecutive Women’s Super League game as Arsenal beat Aston Villa to stretch their unbeaten run to eight games under Renee Slegers.

The 4-0 victory moved Arsenal back up to third in the table, ahead of Manchester United who thrashed Liverpool 4-0 earlier on Sunday.

Earlier this year, the Women’s Professional League’s Limited (WPLL) secured a ‘record’ five-year extension of the WSL’s domestic broadcast rights agreement with BBC Sport and Sky Sports.

Leinster began their pursuit of a fifth Investec Champions Cup crown with a ruthless second-half display to claim a bonus-point victory over Bristol Bears at Ashton Gate.

Fly-half Sam Prendergast scored 20 points, including two of his side’s four tries after the break, as new signing Jordie Barrett and Josh van der Flier also crossed.

Elsewhere in rugby, Six Nations Rugby has revealed a new brand identity ahead of the 2025 edition of the men’s tournament.

England powered to a series win over New Zealand with an emphatic 323-run victory inside three days of the second Test in Wellington.

After setting the home side a mammoth 583, England battled high winds, the threat of showers and Tom Blundell’s swashbuckling 115.

Chris Woakes and Brydon Carse reduced New Zealand to 59-4 before Blundell lit up a grey day with his assault on off-spinner Shoaib Bashir.

Ben Stokes ran through the tail for 3-5, his best Test figures in more than two years, to leave New Zealand 259 all out.
